We headed back to Dublin this morning. Along the way, we stopped at Glendalough.
We left the farmhouse on Tuesday morning to head for Kilmuckridge and our hotel for the night. We headed north through Tipperary and headed east through County Carlow.
But before we got to the hotel, we made a stop at Avoca. We had 2 reasons for stopping. The Avoca Handweavers, the oldest mill in Ireland – established in 1723.
We headed for Waterford on Monday morning and got there just in time to catch the last factory tour before Christmas.
On Sunday, we drove to Blarney village to visit the Blarney Castle and kiss the Blarney Stone.
We got up a little early to make the trip to the Giant’s Causeway. It was about 100 miles away. The roads are small compared to ours and the top speed isn’t like the Interstate, so it took 2.5 hours to get there. The coastal views were amazing! The wind was very strong and that created large waves that broke over the rocks.
